Hello coaches,First I'd like to thank you for taking the time to view my profile page. My name is Grant Clark and im currently a junior at Clinton High School in Clinton,Michigan where im a student athlete. I've obtain a 3.78 grade point average while participating in 3 sports; football, basketball, and baseball, during my high school years. I also serve as our class president for the past 3 years in student government, and last spring was honored to be selected to become a member of our schools National Honors Society program. Last year during my sophmore year i also had the honor of being voted team captain for all 3 sports. For the 2011 varsity football season I earned; offensive player of the game against Whitmore Lake, honorable mention ALL-LEAGUE offensive line, and was was placed on the ALL-LEAGUE academic team. Ever since the first time I put pads on in youth football, playing football as a college student athlete has been a goal of mine. I know to be successful in my life that im going to need a college degree. At the present moment ill probably declare my major as undecided, but I must admit that the major of pharmacy has sparked my interst lately. Also I feel if I'm able to continue my playing days into college , this will lead to being more successful in life through the lessons learn from participating in football for another 4 years. Being a college student athlete would also fullfill another goal of mine, to be a positive role model for younger athletes. Over the last few years, I've been able to coach in our town youth basketball and also serve as an instructor for both football and basketball camps. For the fall of 2011, I was able to referee our town youth football games. I want to be that role model for these young kids, to show them if you work hard in the classroom and on the practice field, all that hard work can pay off. No one should question my desire to achieve this goal, for the past two years I've given my summers up to attend college football camps and combines become a better player. I believe the fact of being voted captain on 3 different sports teams speaks for any questions about my leadership abilities. Versilitility is not an issue for I've played all offensive line positions, all defensive line positions, and also snap for punts and extra points. Basically im a FOOTBALL PLAYER, when the game is on the line I want the ball ran behind me to get that 4th and 1, or I want the other team to run at me when im on defense and they have a 4th and 1. I always put team goals ahead of personal goals. While attending one college camp I had a college coach tell me I was a natural tight end, when I got home I didnt run to my coach and demand to switch positions, for I know if my team is going to be successful, my job is on the o-line.Entering my senior year in 2012 , I'll have only 9 more of those special FRIDAY NIGHTS left and when the last game is over and I'm taking my high school pads off for the last time I'd like that moment to be both sad and happy. After playing with teammates since 2nd grade it will be sad knowing we will never compete on the football field again. But I also hope I can smile knowing that someone is offering me a new set of pads, teammates, goals, and challenges for the fall of 2013 at the college level. In closing, hopefully by the end of November 2011 my ncsa profile page will have game viedo for all of you to view. Also I'll be taking the acts in 2011 and 2012 and will post the results when the scores come in.I once again want to thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully have a better understanding who Grant Clark is.
