To start with my number one goal in life is to make it big in football. I want to play in the NFL, just like a lot of other people do as well I'm sure but none of which has the determination as I do. One of my favorite quotes I have ever heard and what I live my life by everyday is "anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself". I like to be goal oriented and when I set goals I make them whether its very hard or very easy. Whether I make it to the NFL or not I want to be very successful in life and make good money by doing something I enjoy which is the reason I have the major that I do. I don't necessarily know the exact area of engineering I want but there are many areas that interest me and it is a difficult major to achieve because it pays well. I like to learn something new everyday and feel if you go a whole day without learning something new that is a day wasted and you can not get better at anything without learning. My goal for football throughout the rest of college is to transfer from my current junior college to a division I A or AA school on a full ride scholarship. I like to prove people wrong (and make them feel stupid for doubting me) as I have all through youth football, high school, MN all-star football game, and my first year at RCTC. This doubt people had in me pushed me to work harder at everything i do. I am always in the weight room on my free time either lifting or stretching. for this coming up semester i arranged my class schedule to allow me to have about two hours to lift or get stretched out on my own before practice. I have grown up being told especially in high school that I'm too small and will never make it big at my position at my size. I went on to be one of the first kids to go through mayo high school starting both sides of the ball for 3 years. I got told I was too small to play defensive tackle in the Minnesota high school all-star game and set a new overall tackle record that has not been beat since the 1980's, and again told i was too small to play tackle at RCTC and went on to be defensive player of the week and all-division. I am just good at the position I play and aspire to stick at that position and become the best that has been around possibly one of the smaller as well. RCTC has been a great experience playing and in classes. I am super excited to play at the next level and finish out my education, so I can continue on with life where ever that may take me.
