As a three sport athlete I have learned a lot about myself through Football, Wrestling, and Lacrosse. Each sport has taught me many lessons that have helped me not only on the field or ring, but also outside of sports. In Football and Lacrosse, I am part of a brotherhood. Every man on the field has to work together to accomplish a single goal. I depend on them and they depend on me. It's like being a part of a puzzle: to succeed as a team, each person needs to do their very best even though they are doing different things. Unlike Football and Lacrosse, Wrestling is an “individual” team sport, where I’m simultaneously competing with and against my teammates. We’re all pushing each other to our best performances but in the end, a successful wrestle-off for one teammate can bump another friend and teammate out of an upcoming competition. I've learned to rely on my training and personal fortitude when time are difficult, and the importance of celebrating my teammates victories. When they win, we all win.
Being part of all of these sports has taught me to work with and respect a lot of different types of people, some who are really different from me, which is valuable in all aspects of life, inside and outside of sports.
I have been awarded a Varsity letter for Wrestling in the 2025 season, which will afford me the further opportunity to strengthen my leadership skills in all seasons to come.
My grades have been and always will be very important to me and I have worked hard the achieve balance between my academics and extracurricular activities in order to be successful in both. While I am currently undecided about what I would like to study in college, I am actively exploring options that can provide a fulfilling and rewarding career after college is competed. I believe my rigorous high school course load is helping to prepare me for the challenge of balancing college academics and athletics in the future.
