I started playing football in 9th grade. After success in my first year, I developed a passion for it, and found that playing football at a collegiate level was possible for me. Ever since, I have done everything in my power to improve. I work hard in the gym, not only to improve performance, but to prevent injury. I attended a camp at Lafayette, and a more specialized Kohl's Kicking Camp in Pittsburgh, and plan on attending more. I am a 4 sport athlete, the other 3 being soccer, basketball, and baseball. I play all of these sports at a varsity level, and was selected for First Team All-Area in soccer my sophomore year and Honorable Mention this year.
My 2014 football accomplishments include being the kicker and punter for the Eastern Conference AAA Champion Blue Mountain Eagles. I was honored to be selected First Team All-State Pennsylvania Football Writers Association AAA, First Team All-State Pennsylvania Football News, First Team and Dream Team Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association, First Team All-Coal Region and I was the T 102 Radio Player of the Week on 10/24/14 for my performance in a crucial league game.
Off of the playing field, I keep my GPA high, challenge myself with the highest classes offered by my school, and maintain a rank at the top of my class. My grades are just as important, if not more important, to me as the game of football. I was recently chosen by my counselors to represent my junior class at West Point, and will receive the Dwight D. Eisenhower Award. I also volunteer at various youth camps at my school, for multiple sports.
I plan to study Business Management or Finance in college. I am currently volunteering in the finance office of the Schuylkill Medical Center to get a more hands-on view of what a job like this entails. I would prefer to be near a city when attending college, but it is not necessary. I dedicated 2 weeks last summer to visiting as many colleges as I could, all of which were located in extremely different areas. I have a very open mind about college locations, and am willing to go anywhere in the country if it is the right fit for me. My number one priority is to receive a great education in college, while playing football at the highest level possible.
