Andrew Romanchak '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2" 190 lb PA All Academic Gold Team Junior dual threat quarterback/defensive back and captain of my varsity football team.  I am a high character guy with a strong work ethic and I'm dedicated to improving and becoming the best I can be both on and off the field in order to help my team win.  As a quarterback, I have a strong arm with the ability to run and make defenders miss.  In April 2014 I was named QB MVP at the National Underclassmen Combine in Pittsburgh.  On defense, I have played both the cornerback and safety positions.  As a junior I received 2nd team all conference honors as a defensive back with limited playing time on defense.  I am open to playing either offense or defense in college as I am a competitor and just want to be on the field to help my team win championships.  I am also a successful student in the classroom.  I am a member of the National Honor Society and currently carry a 4.42 GPA and rank 1 of 142 students at Freeport.  I have scored 1220 on the SAT, 27 on the ACT and I'm currently taking honors courses in English, Trig/Pre-Calc, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology.  I believe that I would be a good fit at a program that is looking for a strong academic student-athlete that believes in working harder than everybody else and leaving everything he has out on the field to help his team win championships.
