First of all, I would like to say thank you for taking time out of your day to read this, it means a lot to me and my family. On the instructions it says to state your collegiate goals, and the first thing that came to my mind is to be a leader. Now when I say leader, I'm not talking just about on the football field. An individual can be a leader in their community, a leader in the classroom, and a leader generally in life. The best way to be a leader is to lead by example. What I mean by that is when someone sees me doing the right thing then it is more likely for them to take after the person doing the right thing. In my opinion, that is the best way to be leader. The term "leader" has many aspects to the its meaning and I try my best to be a leader in every setting or situation that I may come across. I am very active in the classroom sustaining a 3.35 GPA since my first two years of high school. I strive everyday to make it to class on time and be attentive in each and every session. Extracurricular actives besides football includes marching band, in which I qualified for all-sectional band two consecutive years, wrestling, in which I qualified for the state tournament, and I am an assistant youth leader at a local church in my town. My family has stressed my entire life on being the best person I could be, and part of being a good person is learning from the one person who was flawless, Jesus Christ. Jesus has had such a major role in my life that I couldn't begin to describe to describe the many blessings he's bestowed upon me on a day-to-day basis. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, fishing, working on my jeep, and lifting weights. After college, I tentatively plan on being a Pediatric Oncologist. Even though I was ignorant of the job title, this is the career I have wanted to have since I was very little, watching the St. Jude's commercial about the children with life-threatening injuries and me telling myself that I'm going to help them through this rough time in their life. In the small town that I live in, football is a way of life. Every Friday night you would see multitudes of people pay five dollars to get in to which that week's favorite gridiron match-up. Finally, I would like to say thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read this. If you give me a chance, a slither of a chance, just a chance is all I need to show you that I am what you are looking for, and I assure you that you won't be disappointed in recruiting me.
