My name is Lars Blix and I am currently a junior at Wahkiakum High School in Washington. I am 6'1" and weigh 185 lbs. I have been the starting quarterback on my football team for 2 years and am one of four captains this year and the only junior captain that my school has had in several years. I have loved playing sports since I was very young and my parents have given my brother and myself every opportunity to do so. I have competed in football, basketball, baseball and track, but decided to drop track to focus my time in the spring to baseball. I also start on my football team as a safety and I am the kicker/punter. I was a Washington State Athlete of the week last year as a sophmore and 2nd team all-league. I believe that I can bring leadership to a team and have the desire to play at whatever level I can to make my dream of playing in college come true. I have spent a lot of time in the off-season at camps to improve my speed and foot work as a quarterback. I know coming from a small school makes it more difficult, but I feel that I have what it takes to play at the next level. I have not yet decided on a major, but know that I want an education. My parents have instilled in me the fact that an education is the most important thing. I look forward to future and the possibilities that are ahead of me in college.
