Let me express a little bit about myself. I'm a 17 year old, 6'3 combo guard that is very athletic with a great attitude and potential. As a sophomore at Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Virginia, I played guard on the varsity basketball team. Recently, I relocated to Rockville, Maryland to live with my Dad. Due to family and school requirements, I played very little AAU basketball however; I did attend the summer 2010 basketball camps at Dematha, Oak Hill Academy and Virginia Commonwealth University. Based on my improving skills and performance at camp, I was recruited to play at Dematha, Oak Hill and St. John's but decided to attend Montrose Christian from the gracious invitation of Stu Vetter. I'm a hard worker with the willingness to improve every day. I make no excuses for my academic struggles early in my high school career and have worked to greatly improve my work ethic off the court. Due to this hard work, I scored very high on the state of Virginia science test which resulted in me being exempt from taking the final exams last year. My high math scores allowed me to be able accepted at Montrose Christian. I'm looking for a college that believes in educating the whole student-athlete with emphasis placed on preparing students for life after basketball. I would appreciate any interest from any college or university that can use my skills on and off the court. Thank you, Charles Taylor Jr.
