Personal Statement

Preferred Walk-On - University of Hawaii

I am a 5'10" 160 pound Point Guard from Dallas, TX.  I can play the role of a scoring point guard as well as a distributor, and my primary strengths are my quickness, my ball handling, my all-around shooting, and my ability to run my team very well.  I have excellent court vision and awareness, and I can create scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates by beating my defender off the dribble and being able to shoot three point shots from deep.

I am a senior (Class of 2014) at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas.  I have played AAU basketball since third grade, and I have competed at the highest level during all of the years I have played.  Because I am young for my class, I have had to work hard to be successful at this level, and I am willing to bring this same work ethic to any college basketball program I am a part of.  My primary basketball goal is to play Division I basketball at a good academic institution. I am not excluding any geographic location.  While attending college, I currently would be interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism, business or law.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
