Thank you for visiting my profile. First let me apologize for not having my soccer film up as I have finally just got enough to show. I am hoping to have soccer film up soon. My name is Clayton Paull and I will be entering my Sophomore year attending Western Washington University, but competed for Whatcom Community College this past Fall. Previously I played at Ferris High School in Spokane, WA. I am currently 5'9", 170 pounds. I have been competing in many different sports over my life and spent the formative years, ages 11-14 playing Premier 1 level soccer in Washington state for the Spokane Shadow. This experience of competing at the highest level during those years gave me a great understanding of the game and provided fantastic coaching. Many of my coaches were college level coaches here in the Spokane area (Gonzaga and Whitworth). I played in high level tournaments across the western US and attending a National tournament during one of these years. I decided to pursue playing 3 varsity sports throughout high school: football, wrestling and soccer. Even though I was only playing soccer a few months of the year, the foundation that was built from the years of playing club soccer has stayed with me. In high school, I was the captain of our team the past 2 years and was selected team MVP and 1st team All Greater Spokane League both years. In addition, I was selected as the Offensive MVP for the entire Greater Spokane League after scoring 19 goals my Senior season. Although I did not play club soccer after entering High School, I competed against all the kids who have played club soccer their entire life. I feel my diversity into other sports allowed me to "cross train" in such a way that has actually made me a better soccer player. My physical strength is an advantage for me on the field, not to mention the mental toughness that comes with competing in football and wrestling. I am now focusing ALL my energy into playing soccer at the collegiate level.
Outside of acedemics, I have served as a Junior Counselor for the YMCA youth camp, Camp Reed and a leader for orientations for incoming freshman at my school. Through these experiences I have developed a good work ethic, put myself in leadership positions, and learned to apply myself to groups and organizations bigger than myself. I consider my best strength to be my ability to be coachable and adaptable to any challenge. I'm interested in pursuing some area of business in college, while at the same time contributing my talents as an athlete.
If you feel I am a good fit for your program, please contact me as soon as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
