ASHLEY PEREZ '13 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Ashley Perez. I am 5"1 and my weight is 120 pounds. I have not officially been timed but I am usually the fastest on the team. I have played for several teams starting at the age of five in baseball and since I have been in High school I started playing softball. I have found out it's not really much of a difference from softball but also found the passion for softball. Well recently over this summer I played for 3 teams: the Lady Pirates which was ages 11-17, Lady Bombers which was a women's division ages 18-70, and also participated in the Cops and Kids softball through Psal. We took the championship for both teams known as Lady Pirates and Lady Bombers. Some people may believe being on so many teams over the summer was a drag but I quite enjoyed it because I love to play, it's my passion. I'm dedicated, hard working, open to learning new things, and most of all have good chemistry with all of my teammates, which I believe is very important on any team.
I play multiple positions but my favorite position is shortstop. I feel I can make an immediate impact to the team as a freshman but I am patient and willing to learn and be ready to contribute when the coach feels I am ready.
