Ashtyn Baker '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashtyn Baker.  I attend Northpoint Christian School in Southaven, MS.  I am highly interested in playing basketball at any division level.  I have been playing basketball since I was six years old and as long as I can remember I have wanted to play basketball in college.  I’m always working harder to increase my skills and body to get faster and stronger.  I have been put in leadership positions my entire athletic career and I am very comfortable and confident leading but I’m also a player who understands the importance of playing as a team. Teams win championships not individuals.  Leading on the court you have to lead by example through working hard in practice and demonstrating that you are coachable.  I take instruction and listen to my coaches.  I am disciplined and driven to be one of the hardest workers on the court you will find.  My work ethic flows over into my entire life including school, my performance academically is very important to me as well.  My goal is to be the best player on the court and the best student in the class.  My desire is to attend a college that will push my abilities on the court and in the classroom.  It is my goal to play college ball, and I intend to make that happen.
