Personal Statement
UPDATE: I would like to thank Coach Wagar, his staff and the entire Grambling State family for the opportunity to be a Tiger. However, after much thought, I have decided to transfer from Grambling State to pursue other academic and athletic opportunities. Having red-shirted this season, I will still possess four years of athletic eligibility. Please contact me if your university is looking for a goalkeeper!
First and foremost, I recognize that obtaining a college education is the most important asset to obtain in college. I have been working hard all through my school years to help me achieve my goal of pursuing an education in the Computer Science field. I am part of the Collegiate Studies Program in my school where they apply college material to our courses to prepare us for the college curriculum. The program is very rigorous, but I understand that it prepares me for life. Additionally, I know that sports are and always will be an integral part of my life. I like to stay physically active and enjoy the camaraderie that team sports provide. I thrive in competition sports in an effort to always push my limits and grow as an athlete. My character is to accomplish the goals of my team which also includes helping out the other members in my team and serve where needed. My family has taught me that if you push yourself hard enough, you will succeed, and will set the precedent for others to follow. I am an active vocal leader and use this skill as an advantage on the field for the overall gain of the team. I enjoy playing soccer and cherish my time on the field. On my off time, I also enjoy being part of my church congregation and sharing my God-given abilities wherever I am able.
