When I was young, my babysitter played varsity soccer and I began to dream about playing soccer at that level. As I have grown to love and excel at soccer, my goal now is to play at the collegiate level and it seems that I will achieve this goal because DI level coaches have already spoken about me to my MRL coach.
At the age of 6, I started playing soccer and when I was 9, I became a goalkeeper. Though my parents were not excited about me being a goalie, my coach thought I was a natural and had a passion for it. Today, I play goalkeeper at a high level against future collegiate players. In fall 2014, my club team joined MRL and we took 2nd in our division going 6-1-1 with my 0.848 save percentage. I played with Wisconsin ODP team and pool and Wisconsin Fire. In spring 2014, my freshman year of high school, I was varsity backup to a fall 2014 DII starter and as JV starter went 14-1 with 13 shutouts and a 0.2 goals against average. In spring 2015, I was Brookfield Central's starting varsity goalkeeper and we won Milwaukee's Greater Metro Conference going 11-3-3 with 7 shutouts, 98 saves, a 0.882 goals against average and 0.867 save percentage. In spring 2016, I was Brookfield Central's starting varsity goalkeeper and we again won Milwaukee's Greater Metro Conference going 15-1-2 with 8 shutouts. We won Regionals losing in the Sectional Semi-Final 1-1 (DSHA 7-6 PKs). That same season, our team was ranked nationally as high as #22.
Coaches tell me that I play with intensity and always have a good attitude. Separately, three coaches came up with the nickname “pitbull” for me, which I think shows my persistence and tenacity. At this time, I am open to any college that has a good academic and athletic reputation.
