I have been a hard working elite athlete since the age of 7 when I began competitive cheer. At the age of 14, I made it to the highest level there is in competitive cheer, and I am still competing. At the age of 12 I discovered track and fell in love with it after the very first practice. That was when I decided track is something I want to excel at and take to the next level of running in college. Something that always sets me apart from my peers is my endurance to keep going, my “no quit” attitude, my “give it all I’ve got” drive every single practice and every single meet. I believe I can be great in any event that my coaches put me in. I am very coachable and always willing to try new techniques to improve. I take my training for track and cheer more serious than most of my peers understand, because my goal is always to make it to the next level, so I often make sacrifices. I work just as hard on my academics as I do my athletics. I take responsibility for my school work without my parents having to remind or check after me. I have good time management with always completing my work on time. The thing I love most about being part of a track team is the friendships made and how we all hype each other up and cheer each other on at the meets.
