What the Coaches are Saying...
Sep 11, 2018

“This is Asst Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Matt Mercurio and thank you for the interest in our program and university. Very simply we are looking for GAMERS, they come in all different shapes, sizes, ages, and colors! Young men who pride themselves on competing daily in the classroom and in every aspect of their lives is who we want to work with. The baseball part is simple, but we try to ensure that we are getting the "right" players and families that "fit" what we do all encompassing. We focus on recruiting BASEBALL players, guys who are going to go about their business every single day through the entire year like it's the "last day." We expect a lot out of our players and ourselves as a staff. Playing in one of the best conferences in the country daily, and churning out both professional players and people comes with the opportunity cost of relentless hard work and dedication to the TEAM and vision of being champions on and off the field. Please make sure to think about your priorities as you embark on this recruiting process, develop a list of things for you that are important to you and your family in this decision-making process and follow it. It takes time, do not rush or faulter when there are hiccups, enjoy it. Please make sure to visit our website which can be found at: www.floridatechsports.com . Coach Merc”
