The Apprentice School offers a unique opportunity where students will learn a skillful trade or craft while earning a respectable wage and full benefits on day one. There is no tuition/student debt. It is a full time job where you can also play D3 level college baseball. The Apprentice School is used to create leaders in this company, and if you do not choose to stay at Newport News Shipbuilding when you graduate, you have a highly sought after trade skill. The Apprentice school offers the opportunity to earn your Associates degree through the local community college (still no tuition).”
