What the Coaches are Saying...
Jun 09, 2020

“I am actively looking for players to add depth at both the top and bottom of the roster as we will be losing several key players to graduation this May along with next year as well. As a Certified PGA instructor I will be looking at golf swings to analyze the flow of movement and to see how the swing matches the scores posted in addition the index listed on the profile. We hit a lot of range balls early here in the spring as the courses do not open for several weeks, sound swings will be critical along with consistent ball flights to determine who is going to be playing and representing CUW for the early meets. I would like to also advise that CUW as a Christian University is looking for good moral character as a foundation for athletic achievement + life time achievement.”

—Coach Greg Nikolai

“As a coaching staff, we work to create independent thinkers on the golf course. We look to encourage learning about shot evaluation, course management and strategic shot planning. Our coaching philosophy is to be an on-course assistant without being overbearing. We are looking for individuals willing to grow and learn both on the course and in the classroom. Our golfers have a good work ethic, time management skills, and are well rounded individuals. We are working to keep the program above the local level as well as be competitive at the national level because our goal is to win.”
