What the Coaches are Saying...
Aug 28, 2023

“Some of the other characteristics that we want from our players include strong athletic ability and having a mindset of academic responsibility. Having a student who comes in with good grades throughout high school typically means their work ethic is going to be strong. Students who attend Washington College, and are a part of the tennis team, are going to have the best available to them from a D3 experience. Our tennis program has one of the best facilities in the country to train at. We have eight outdoor hard courts, four indoor tennis courts, and a tennis clubhouse just for the tennis players with Ping-Pong, study tables, couches, TV, a kitchen, and their own locker-room. We also have scoreboards on our outdoor tennis courts (only team in our conference), with surround sound on all of our outdoor and indoor courts. This allows them to again, have all of the needs to train year-round. Both our school and tennis program will provide you with an opportunity to pursue your ambitions on and off the court. We are going to have a very strong team next year and we want you to be a part of it! At Washington College, you would have the opportunity to compete with some of the best players in the country and maximize your tennis potential.”

—Coach Michael Herman
