What the Coaches are Saying...
Sep 26, 2018

“Anderson University is a NCAA DIII institution located in Anderson, IN. We will play in our inaugural season in 2019 as a member of the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference. Anderson University is a private Christian university. Celebrating 100 years, Anderson University continues to be recognized as one of America's top colleges by U.S. News and World Report, The Princeton Review, and Forbes. Established in 1917 by the Church of God (Anderson, Ind.), Anderson University offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in business and theology. For more information, visit www.anderson.edu. Coach Colin's Coaching Philosophy: I coach because I believe in the positive impact college athletics can play in a student athlete’s future. I am proud to be able to share my passion of lacrosse with these young adults. My best memories from college were mostly because of my experience as a student-athlete. It brings me no greater joy than seeing first-hand how your example and instruction can leave a lifelong impact on a young adult. As a lacrosse coach, I realize that very few of my players will ever continue their playing career professionally. As a representative of a higher education institution, I am obligated to do everything in my power so that my players become the best employee, spouse, parent, member of society, etc. possible. I take a very business-like approach to managing a team- focusing on the development of an individual’s potential and molding it into a unique system. I hold them accountable for their actions and seek a return on my investment. I have also found that showing trust in my players by giving them opportunities to be more than just student-athletes leaves a respect for myself, and a personal duty to prepare and perform at his/her best on the field. Above all, I have a great love for what I do and for the players who play for me.”
