“Jarvis Christian University (TX) is a new Wrestling Program, we will have both Men’s & Women’s teams beginning fall 2022-2023 academic year. We will compete in the Sooner Conference Athletic Conference, and are associated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). We are looking for Men and Women for our 2022 Bulldogs Wrestling Recruiting Class. We have scholarships opportunities available. JCU is located in Hawkins Texas, 25 minutes North of Tyler, 2 hours East of Dallas, on the East Side of Texas. On May 6th 2022 Jarvis Christian College officially changed its name to Jarvis Christian University at the unveiling of its new signage on Friday, May 6, in a celebration service in Smith-Howard Chapel, followed by a reception. The name change follows Jarvis being approved by its accrediting agency to offer its first graduate degrees: a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) in Spring 2023, which enabled the school’s change from college to university Jarvis Christian University is a historically Black liberal arts, baccalaureate degree-granting institution affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The mission of the College is to prepare a diverse population of lifelong learners intellectually, socially, spiritually, and personally through providing interactive services and using varied modalities of instructional delivery. Jarvis Christian College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees.
