Christian Beasley '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play college baseball as a LF/3rd and be a team player offensively. I believe wholeheartedly that i will be an assett for any college team as I plan to only grow as a baseball player. It is my passion. I am a very driven person in all areas. In fact, when it's raining outside I bring the equipment onto my deck and keep swinging the bat. I have always been placed within the top four of every lineup for my team. I take it very seriously that the coaches look to me and expect me to perform consistently. My goal is to rise to every challenge I am met with. As a short stop, I am moving with every pitch, anticapating and ready, hoping the ball is hit to me. I absolutely love watching the ball sail through the air on a line as I throw the hitter out at first. Turning a double play is second nature to me.  When I step on the field I know its where I belong. It's home to me. I am confident. I am at my best. Different from other recruits? My coaches tell me that they've never seen a more motivated person than me, on and off the field.  I was captain of my JV team in eigth grade and the coaches have already told me I will be captain again this year in baseball and football. I lead my team in summer workouts for football and enjoy challenging them to give it their all.  Character? I love God and give Him all the glory. I know I answer to a higher calling for everything I do. I want to do my best in all, not just for me, but for God. Phil. 3:14 says ,"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me." I take that seriously. Academically, I made As and Bs last year. I plan on making all As this year and know that as a ninth grader it counts. I am committed to disciplining myself to study each day as I now understand the importance of a high GPA.
