Braden Kemp '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Braden Kemp and I am a sophomore at Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona.  I have been playing baseball since I was 12, mostly club baseball.  I continue to learn the game and play for my school and club teams.  From opposing coaches, I have been told I’m one of the most athletic players on the field and I play with energy, which I believe is a great quality to contribute to anywhere I play.

As a sophmore this year I hope to work hard in the classroom and in the gym to compete for Chandler High  in the most competitive region, the Arizona 6A Premier Section.  I have been gaining weight and increasing my stength with time in the gym. Fall ball is starting and I will be competing against upperclassmen for a varsity roster position to start the spring. I am looking forward to the spring HS and summer travel seasons.

Playing baseball makes me smile. I like getting my own skill work at home and going to the gym to get better. I workout with friends, teammates and high school alumni in the offseason at the high school. I train weekly at a local performance gym to improve my mobility, strength and speed. My weekly sessions with my hitting coach is improving my bat path to increase consistent and accurate barrels. Basically working on my game 6 days a week. I am also a great teammate and make friends easy.

My mom and dad are very supportive. I play baseball all year and they find a way to make it work with their busy schedules. I can always count on them.

If I am not working on my game one of my hobbies is fishing my local lakes.

My goals are to continue playing baseball at the next level in college and be a firefighter.
