Cam Beattie '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cameron Beattie. Off the field I make my primary focus school, maintaining a decent GPA, and keeping up on my school work. My family has helped instill a great work ethic in me and shown me that the discipline needed for academic success will lead to success in the future. On the field my primary and preferred position is pitcher. I can be a starter or reliever whichever you need. Honestly I pitch to contact I am not going to overpower hitters with my fastball and strike out a lot. But I can guarantee I will throw strikes and go well into ball games as long as I have a decent field behind me. I have a nice repertoire of pitches throwing four: a fastball, curveball, changeup, and slider. When it comes to my hitting, again I will not hit tons of home runs but I have decent power and will maintain a steady average. I am working on my swing and particularly my strength to be the best I can be at the plate. When it comes to my character I am a leader. It's what I have always been. I am going to bring positive energy to the team even if things aren't going well and will always be there to pick up my teammates.
