Coming from a family with a strong military background, my work ethic, dedication and respect is second to none. I believe that having these core high morals on and off the field will be the key to my success in college and through out my life. Baseball has been a key part of who I am today and has helped to teach me discipline, focus, dedication and most importantly team work and comradery. It is a team sport and it cant be successful functioning and focusing on an individual basis. While I can do everything in my power to be the best that I can, WE have to do the same to make the team a success. But to be successful as a team requires leadership by example, and as a team leader that is how conduct myself each and everyday.
Throughout my baseball career I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing coaches and teammates, while practicing and playing at some of the best facilities in the world! And it has been these opportunities that have helped instill that humility and appreciation for what I have.
While I have seen some success and have done well in my young career, I am always reminded to stay humble. There is always someone bigger, faster, stronger/better and there is ALWAYS room for improvement. While I am 110% dedicated to my success on the field, I am also completely aware that academics are just as important and must remain a focus. My goal for college is to put in whatever effort it takes to have the grades and the athleticism to earn a scholarship, not for myself but to show my appreciation to my family, coaches mentors and all the others that have given so much to help me be as successful on and off the field that I can be!
