Chance Stephens '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chance Stephens, I will be starting my Junior year in the Fall at Greenway High School in Phoenix, Arizona.  I have had a passion for baseball for as long as I can remember. I started throwing and playing catch with my grandfather and father when I was just two years old. I started playing in a local little league when I turned six years old and have been playing ever since. I started Fall ball when I moved to Arizona my 5th grade year. I started diversifying into different sports my 5^th grade year when I played soccer and have continued adding different sports during the off season to keep up my conditioning and workout other muscles. My freshman year I played on the Freshman and JV Baseball Team as a starter in a variety of positions and JV-B football team. This year, I was the starting short stop for the JV Baseball Team. They occasionally asked me to play on the 9 – 10 team as a starter.  Unfortunately, the season was cut short due to school closures. I also, played on the JV-B football team this year.

My aspiration is to become a Major League baseball player who has a degree in Sports Medicine. I have always loved the feeling of being in the dugout and out on the field. I am an A and B student who strives to be an A student. I am dedicated to the success of myself and my team. I have good communication skills and work good with others. I strive to do my best on and off the field. I like to support my community through working with my church on Love My Schools day, Thanksgiving boxes and reading to younger students with Student Council.
