I know so many people from baseball and there’s not one person that knows me that can say I don’t have power behind the bat. This has influenced my mindset and who I am today by showing me how many people truly believe in my abilities and has made it much easier to believe in myself. I became interested in baseball because I saw two doors, an easy route and a hard route. But the difference is that the easy door had a hard life later, and the hard door had an easy life later. I was taught this in a B.S.P workout with Neptune Beach. I have learned that baseball isn’t just about playing. I’ve learned how to have a better home and family life. I’ve learned how to have better relationships with people. I’ve even learned how to give myself the respect I deserve and that made it so much easier to give others the respect they deserved.
My academic goals for high school and college is to do my best. I know if I can aim for the best of my ability in the classroom 110% of the time then I will either hit my goals as a student athlete or I’ll be close. I have had many obstacles to get me where I am. I am serious about what I do on the field and in the classroom. I have better conversations when I feel relaxed. If I meet a stranger, I don’t care who it is, I will treat them like they were my brothers or sisters. It's so that I get comfortable with them as a person and so that they feel safe around me. I take pride in everything I do and I will continue to do so no matter what my future holds.
