I am a senior at Bakersfield High School, starting as a Right Fielder on the Varsity baseball team. I also play 1B and RHP. Getting to this level of my baseball journey required hard work, dedication, patience, and resiliency. I was a Freshmen when I joined the Varsity baseball program.
I’ve been playing in organized baseball leagues since I was 3 years old, which enabled me to create valuable memories and use baseball as a productive outlet to enhance leadership and team building skills. As a member of the Bakersfield Mavericks baseball club (9U-14U) I was able improve my overall skills and develop important leadership traits I aspire to compete at the collegiate level because I have strong work ethic and love being a member of a team that allows me to show my dedication and skills that I’m able to contribute. I competed in the California Collegiate Coastal Summer league in 2021 as a member of the Bakersfield Crude. That allowed me to test my skills at a higher level and expose me to more talented players.
During the COVID 19 global pandemic I was resilient and adapted to the situation at hand. I shifted my focus to physical strength and mental focus. I put together my own home gym and I now have access to a full rack, free weights, Bowflex, treadmill, rowing machine, and pitching mound at home. I am in great shape as a result and continue to strive for new PRs.
I’m confident that my club and high school baseball experience have prepared me for the next level of competition, and I’m eager to improve as a player at the collegiate level.
