Playing at the next level has been a dream of mine since the moment I stepped onto a baseball field. I've been playing the game since I was four years old and fell in love with it right away. Playing baseball all my life has taught me leadership skills, good work ethic and how to truly be a team player. I think not only my talent on the field, but the valued skills I have learned about myself off the field too will contribute to any team and helping them win.
My Freshman year I hit around .500, had the best on base percentage and led the team in RBI's, the next year I turned around and became more of a dominant pitcher having a .17 ERA in 50+ innings pitched. As I grew, my power developed and started hitting the ball further. During the off season I was in the cage working on my mechanics almost everyday. Putting in a lot of work showed in my performance as i started hitting the long ball in games and producing for my team every way I could.
Getting cut from my high school team my junior year because I was not able to make grades was a major factor in motivating me to work so much harder to get to where i needed to be. That year I hit 14 home runs for my club team and helped lead them to a regional championship. My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the beginning of my Junior year and it really shook up my focus as my attention turned to her instead of school and baseball. After getting cut, I immediately regained my focus and knew i had to grind to get back where i was before and helping my High school team win a championship.
Now, I am continuing to work everyday on making myself better and trying to find a school that would be the bet fit for me.
