I desire to attend a four year university and play baseball. After college I aspire to continue my baseball career and/or attend graduate school. I attended Sea Cadets when I was younger which gave me a mindset of discipline, hard work ethic, and team work. It also taught me to listen and take directives well. As a Junior, I am one of the captains of our varsity team and am using these skills to help encourage myself and my teammates to give nothing less than our best both on and off the field. My dad went to Annapolis Naval Academy and was a Special Agent for Department of Defense. My dad taught me to never leave a teammate behind. He also taught me to never give up the ship. These attributes help me to dig deep when things aren’t going my way, to not give up, and to push myself to be the best that I can be. My dad would take me to the library after school which helped foster a love for reading and learning. I attribute this to my desire to do well in school. My dad is no longer with us, but his life lessons, love and encouragement keep me focused on the goals I have before me. My mom is my biggest fan and support, and she always helps me get to where I need to be. I know that with my focus, work ethic, core beliefs, attitude and leadership skills, I will be an asset to any team that would take me.
