Taylor Kaufman '22 Recruiting Profile

I’m a multi-sport scholar-athlete, and I chose to play and study baseball because I love the game - it’s strategy, rhythm and teamwork. I’m a strong asset in the line-up, crafty baserunner and team leader with the most outfield assists of every team I’ve played for. I’m a five tool player and my arm, combined with my visual processing speed and game sense, is my strongest tool. I thrive on the anticipation in the game - reading the pitch, pitcher and batter - learning pitchers' tendencies, anticipating a bad pitch on the bags, and most of all, adjusting my defensive positioning to the timing, swings and baserunning of my opponents. My competitiveness radiates and I want to bring my tools, teamwork and leadership to a winning team for the next 4 years.
