I have always loved the game of baseball and have learned something from it each and every day. I developed a love for the sport since I was about five years old, and have always continued to push myself to be the best I can be. Not only on the field, but academically as well. Throughout the years I have played I’ve gotten criticism about my weight and how I couldn’t dominate the game because I wasn’t as fast or fit as the others. That never stop me from playing. I started pitching at about the age of 8 years old and have dominated the position ever since. I started off on the Junior Varsity squad my freshmen year, and not even a quarter into the season, was called up to Varsity and held my own. I’ve become a two-year Varsity starter and am still going strong as the Ace of the team. In doing so I won MVP of the team my freshmen year and Cy Young for the team my sophomore year.
I am eager to be part of a school, and a team, that can give me knowledge both on the field and in the classroom. I believe I can make a difference on the team and can contribute to helping my team win while continuing to grow as a student athlete. I am also a coachable player that can adapt to any coaching style. My goal in high school is to graduate top of the class and go to college to further my education. In college, I hope to attain a degree in health science to pursue my dreams of working in the health care field as a Pediatrician or a Sports Medicine Physician.
In life, I have always been taught no matter how hard the task is, you never give up on yourself. You always look ahead and keep moving forward. I hope to make my family proud and make something of myself as I grow into adulthood.
Thank you for your time.
