Personal Statement
I am a 5'11'' left-handed pitcher/outfielder from Dublin, California and will be graduating in the class of 2020. I have played on the Dublin High School varsity team since my freshman year and have earned a 4.3 GPA while doing so. This season, I earned Co-MVP honors while pitching and playing OF and 1B. I am also proud to say that I am a recipient of the "Integrity in Action" award for our school district. I was nominated by my teachers and administrators. Ideally, I would like to attend a school with a strong athletic and academic atmosphere surrounding its campus. I believe my most valuable trait is my ability to show leadership on and off the field and help the guys around me to be the best possible players they can be. My father, who has been a head basketball coach for 20 years has instilled the 3 rules for our family that I live by... 1) Listen 2) Be the Hardest Worker in the room and 3) Be a GREAT teammate. Humbly, I believe that developing those traits are what separates me from the average athlete. I am open to all opportunities that will allow me to have an immediate impact on the game and the team. As a sophomore, I also played varsity basketball and football at Dublin High School (Enrollment 3200). In, this, my junior year, I am currently playing on the varsity basketball team and was Co-CAPTAIN of the varsity football team. I have played multiple sports my entire life and I just love to COMPETE in whatever I am doing, whether in athletics or in the classroom. I have a strong passion to play baseball in college and know that I will continue to work to improve every single day. My whole life, coaches have been trying to tell me to concentrate on one sport only, but I enjoy competing in every sport and I feel it keeps my body fresh. When the time comes in college to specialize, the sky is the limit! But, until then, I am going to enjoy my high school experience and compete for my school and my teammates in as many areas as I can. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you!
