My name is Chase Read, I am a RHP and I attend San Pasqual High School. The biggest highlight of my high school career was to be able to close out and win the Lions Tournament for the varsity team as a freshman. One of the biggest influences on who I am has been the goals I set for myself and creating a drive to accomplish that goal. I started playing baseball at the age of 4 and I have always enjoyed it, but what made me want to take my talents to the next level is seeing the amount of growth I have gained throughout my high school experience. One important skill baseball has taught me is being able to take control of my emotions in order to not let them get in the way of the task at hand. One of my biggest high school goals academically is to increase my overall gpa to at least a 3.0 by the end of my junior year. A unique characteristic I posses is being able to stay calm in stressful situations. What makes me a good candidate for your team is I am a very coachable player and I enjoy playing the game, when I play I always have a goal or situation going on in my head and anything I can do to improve my game I will apply. What is different about me athletically is my focus is on my mechanics and what I can do to ensure a healthier and longer lasting arm so I can make this dream possible. In the past I have had problems with grades but I am working on bringing them up by taking extra classes and keeping up with the work I need done now. I will be just as excited to be in a college classroom as I will be on a college diamond.
