Personal Statement

My aspirations for baseball are to play at the Division 1 level for all 4 years and overall be very consistent at pitching, fielding, and hitting to eventually get to that desired level of baseball. Also, getting a degree and graduating from college is very important to me; baseball isn't one-sided, you have to have athleticism and good academics.

I would make a great candidate because I work harder than anyone else on the field during practice and in games. I don't slack off during practice or games, I play like it's my last time on the field.

I'm a good listener, a leader on the field, and a hard worker. I work hard on the field and in the classroom. I've changed my life for baseball, its not just a sport it's a lifestyle; and I'm willing to do what it takes to get to the next level.

Thanks, Travis Bergmann

Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Arm Strength - Great speed overall, in particular with footwork to get into position. Will be an important asset going forward. Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. Mental Abilities - 92 / 100 Competitiveness - Showed a strong desire to win and seems to enjoy the competition. Keep working hard! Passion - Brings energy to every session that was contagious. Great approach to the game! Coach's Comments Travis executed his day with a real bounce in his step and showed he loves to play and compete. I saw him pitch and transition to hit with a guy who is used to being a quality two way player. Showed good arm strength on the mound, with smooth mechanics and a ceiling to work toward. Good swing as well. Pleasure to be around and a guy who is engaged and wants to play. Command on both sides - Being able to command his fastball on both sides of the plate will really benefit Travis. Nice high arm slot will play at any level. Direction in his approach - Take a consistent approach to hitting baseballs. Like to see Travis think middle, and then watch the ball explode off his bat all over the field. Keep working hard. - Loved Travis' energy and his competitiveness on this day. Keep up that energy, it will serve him well in the years to come.
