Mark Ackerman '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mark Ackerman. I am 6'1" and weigh 185#. My primary position is RHP, however I can also play outfield. I run a 7.4 sixty yard dash. In high school I play for the Beyer High Patriots. Our JV team was undefeated this last year. I will now be playing on the Varsity team as the #2 starting pitcher.  In the off season, I play for  a travel team- Nor Cal Valley under the coaching of Mike McNeil.  This past summer we played in Peoria for the USA Baseball Junior Olympics and in Georgia at  The Perfect Game. In October, we will be going to the Arizona Jr.Fall Classic.

I have a passion for the game of baseball and give it my all on the field, whether it be a game or practice.

My dream is to play baseball in college, especially at a D1 level. I work hard on my academics as well, as reflected in my current GPA of 3.7. I would like to be at a school that would offer my major of communications, as my goal is to become a sports broadcaster.
