I competed in the COVID-19 shortened season my junior year at Nordhoff High School in Ojai, California. I am playing baseball and focusing on my education. I was a starter on varsity squad in my freshman year. My goal is to be a four year varsity starter and continue playing baseball after high school for a four-year college. As a freshman I was the second man on the varsity pitching rotation, play all outfield position and all infield positions, except catcher. I throw right-handed, bat left-handed and have good speed. My Sophomore year I led the team in all categories, except stolen bases. In my Junior year, which was cut short due to COVID-19 I was asked to become the team's catcher. Currently I have been ask to catch my Senior year too. I am looking forward to playing a full season in my new assignment.
I volunteer Sunday nights at the Ojai Valley Family Shelter, during the cold winter nights, and volunteer during the major fundraising golf tournament for this nonprofit organization.
In addition, I have been blessed to have been a Summer Intern at Soares, Sandall, Bernacchi & Petrovich, LLP CPAs in 2018 and 2019. This Summer I have been painting the exterior of a house in Oak View, CA. I am hoping the COVID-19 cases will begin to decrease so I can continue working at the CPA firm I previously work the past two Summers.
I was given a wonderful opportunity to be a starter on varsity as a freshman. My love for the game grew immensely this year. Stepping onto the diamond I can leave the rest of the world outside the lines and focus on the game. This year I not only excelled on the field, but in the classroom too. I may not be the biggest player on the field but I play with a lot of heart and passion, and I will never back down from a challenge.
My hope and goal is to become part of a team where I can add value, continue to improve my skills, grow and mature.
