Cole Montano '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’ 0" right-handed pitcher from Pinole, California. I am a sophomore at Pinole Valley High School and will graduate in 2022. I have played baseball for 12 years and have played on 8 travel teams over the last 6 years, as well as 4 years with a college development program in the East Bay, Wheelhouse Academy of Baseball. My current fastball velocity is 87 mph.

It has always been my dream to play a high level of baseball during college. I would like to be part of a team where I can make an immediate impact and help the team win. I hope to show my leadership ability and the qualities I have developed during my 11 years in scouting. I am currently Eagle Scout and Troop Guide with Boy Scout Troop 146 

I would like to attend college west of the Mississippi and preferably on the west coast, but I am willing to keep all my options open. I currently do not know what I would like to major in, however I have always been most interested in and excelled at STEM related subjects. I will be enrolled in the Engineering Academy at Pinole Valley High where I hope to discover what subject I am most passionate about. I currently have a 4.0 GPA.
