Colby Morris '15 Recruiting Profile

I hope to be a collegiate pitcher (RHP), DI, DII, or DIII, and would describe myself as a pitcher who keeps batters off balance with 4 offspeed pitches (curveball, changeup, slider, cutter), along with four and two seam fastballs. My fastball as of now is mid 80's. I can touch 85 fairly consistently, and have touched 86, and can sit at 83-84 if I am relieving and can sit around 82 if I am throwing a CG. I want to go to a college that takes both their baseball program and academics seriously. I want to go to a school that has a very strong academic program, but still has a sports culture and wants to win. I will do anything I can to win and help my team out--helping my high school team achieve its first winning season in almost 10 years. I may not throw hard enough to go to some of the top DI schools, but I know I will work harder than the next pitcher or player to get the spot on the team and create opportunities to help the team out. I love baseball and want to play it for as long as I can at as high a level as possible.
