Michael Ingram '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been blessed with the opportunity to play baseball since I was three years old and never get tired of it.  I attribute my success on the diamond to my work ethic and the psychological toughness from years of challenging situations and temporary setbacks.  I have also had some amazing coaches and trainers who have molded me into the player I am today.  From these opportunities, I have learned to turn failure into a positive motivator and thrive on situations where the game is on the line. I also pride myself on being a team player.

I work equally as hard in the classroom by taking challenging college prep courses and maintaining a 4.0 weighted GPA. Despite our busy 2017 high school season, which ended with a Sac Joaquin Section Championship, I achieved a 4.43 GPA and led all starters on our squad with a .471 BA.

During the summer of 2017, I played in over 40 games with the SSC Easton Cats, including three showcases: the USA West Team Championships in Arizona, the Firecracker Classic in Irvine, and the Phil Singer Summer Series in Oceanside. We performed great against some difficult competition compiling a tournament record of 17-4-2. I led our team with 12 hits and a .480 BA in Oceanside, including a game winning hit during bracket play.

I hope to find a college where I can continue to play baseball at a high level, while at the same time obtaining a top notch education. I realize this might be challenging, but it is a challenge I have been preparing for my entire life and I am not ready to stop now. I am very excited to see where this journey takes me.
