Thank you for clicking on my profile. I am Jayden Angel Espinosa and I am a Scholar-Student Athlete at Rancho San Juan High School. As long as I can remember, sports has always been a past time of mine, whether I'm playing them, watching them, or reading about them. As young as 3 years old, my parents signed me up for different sports activities through the YMCA. From there, I moved on to my local Recreational Center as well as the First Tee of Monterey Bay, then on to Little League, and eventually onto travel ball (both basketball and baseball). I consider myself to be a well-rounded athletic individual. When I play, I play to win, but I also have fun with my teammates through the process. I would be a great candidate to your team because I am a very coachable athlete. I respect my coaches and expect constructive criticism because the feedback is what will help me improve. I have a personal pitching coach and his coaching style is to be upfront, honest, and real and I respect that. I take his advice and I believe it has helped me have the precision in my pitching that I have today.
Along with my athleticism, I am a student at heart. I have never had any problems in the classroom, in fact, I have always been one of the highest in my classes. Learning is natural to me because I know how to be present in my classes, not just with body, but with mind. I am also great at self-monitoring my learning. As you may know, being an athlete requires you to miss a few classes consistently. This has never been a problem for me as I am aware of my responsibilities and my objectives.
My collegiate goals are to learn about the body and it's movement as much as possible. I am looking forward to studying Kinesiology to perhaps obtain a career in sports training or physical therapy. Another area of interest for me is writing. I may look more into the area of Sports Journalism. However, I am open to learning about other careers and would consider something else if it fits my personality. All in all, I am a sports fanatic and would love a career in the world of sports, whether it be playing as a professional athlete or with professional athletes. But first, training and competing in baseball at the collegiate level would be an honor.
Again, thank you for taking the time to get a little insight on me and I look forward to hearing from you and learning about your college.
