Joshua Rosen '18 Recruiting Profile

Goals:

• Bachelor degree in law or political science related major
• Baseball scholarship or play college baseball
• With maximum effort, get drafted in professional baseball and with luck, hopefully, make it all the way to the big leagues
• If college is the farthest I go for baseball I hope that I use my Law degree and go the Police Academy and become a Police Officer. 

 I think I'm a qualified candidate for the team because not only do I have good baseball offensive and defensive skills but I am able to provide baseball IQ, great leadership, and help create a serious atmosphere working towards team goals. During games and practices I take things seriously but with an enjoyable team based attitude, which I'd like to think helps create an environment of competition yet less stress.

I have spent a lot of time on other extra-curricular activities outside of baseball and I believe that makes me different from other recruits. I have over 500 hours of community service, I am a proud Eagle Scout and Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. When I take my classes in school I focus on challenging myself, mentoring others, so when I'm finished I feel as though I really got what I needed out of the content so that I can better prepare myself for future endeavors and next level classes.
