When I was 6 years old, my Mom brought me to the world series parade for the San Francisco Giants. I knew that day I wanted to play in the MLB. I love other sports, but baseball is where I feel at home. I not only have the dream of playing college baseball, but I am willing to put in the work to make it the MLB.
I played football freshman year and loved it. I was playing every minute of every game, defense, offense, and special teams. With 2 minutes left in one of the last games of the season, a fumble landed right below me. I got sideswiped and it broke my distal femur and injured my ACL and MCL. I have worked extremely hard to get back to normal. I gained 40lbs during recovery and rehab. I not only lost the weight that I gained but have become much stronger and faster. I am working every day to become the best version of myself. My knee is completely healed and I am excited to show everyone what I can do.
I don't give up when things get hard. I have dyslexia in school and had a major knee injury. I watch other kids and how easy things come to them. I have to work harder than all of them. I have seen what it takes to come from behind. I know it takes the extra mile. One of my favorite quotes from Deuteronomy 31:6 " Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you". I live by this on a daily basis. I know I wouldn't be as strong as I am today, if the injury didn't happen. I will do whatever it takes to win. this is what I can offer to your program.
