In my life, many things have influenced me into who I am today. There have been many negatives and positives and I am glad I have gone through each experience because they have benefitted me in some way. I became interested in baseball when I was very young, around 6. My dad was a very good baseball player and seeing him play inspired me to want to do the same. I have learned many things through playing baseball. I have learned many valuable lessons, like "baseball is about failure". I have been improving on the areas that I am weak in. I have grown as a team player and building up my teammates has been very easy for me. I am glad to learn all the skills that I know in baseball, because of how much they have taught me. The main thing I've learned is that the greatest of things do not come easy. You are supposed to do whatever it takes, work hard and be determined to get to the maximum level of your abilities. My academics so far have been the same, to get good grades and help those around me in any way. The first two years were a struggle at first, but these last two have come to be a lot easier. In college, I am not sure what will happen academically, but I have the goal to strive in the classroom and be as diligent as I can, even if the outcome may not be what I want it to be. I have overcome many obstacles to get to where I am right now. I have had academic obstacles that I have fixed so that now I could improve from them. I have had injuries that have prevented me from playing for some time. Although each obstacle, has been resolved, I am glad to be at the level that I am right now. I can't wait to see where I will be in the future as well. I am unique in how I perform by myself and in groups. I am able to use a creative mind to think about things differently in certain situations. I enjoy helping my peers and being a role model to those who look up to me. I have developed many characteristics overtime and I believe that many more will be gained as well.
