Kyle Sugimoto '22 Recruiting Profile

From day one, it's always been about baseball. I've loved the game from the first time I stepped onto that field. Now that I'm in high school and college will be here sooner rather than later, all I can think about is putting that school uniform on and proudly representing my university. Not only will being recruited help myself achieve my baseball dreams, but it will help my family more than it could ever help me. I've worked hard in school every year. I've never taken any "years off" in school because it is too important of a matter to ignore. I've taken great pride in the grades I have achieved throughout my academic years. In baseball, I will never disrespect the coach or team I'm playing for. I will show the ultimate respect to my teammates as well. I try as best as I can to surround myself with people who I know will make the right decisions.

The game of baseball has taught me both the thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat. I will not make any excuses for mistakes I made, whether it's in school or baseball. I will continuously try to get better at the game every day. Being considered for your school will not only be an honor, but will also be very humbling.
