Personal Statement

My name is Adam Arth and I was born in Ventura, California in 2006. I will be graduating from Foothill Technology High School in 2024 and I have been playing competitive baseball since the age of 9. One thing I know about myself is that I strive for excellence on the baseball field and in the classroom. I am competitive, hard-working attitude, very coachable and will listen to what is said, especially when it's something I know I should improve on. I am determined to always get the best out of myself in the classroom, on the baseball field and out of my teammates. I realize that the results may not always be perfect, but the effort will be and you need that to get the best possible results in the classroom, on the field and in life. I would love to continue baseball into college and compete while I get a great higher education.

Rotational Energy - Great use of the rotational energy hits the shoulders and the rear shoulder hits the axis, the energy is shifted into the arm, and the reaction triggers activation into the ball when throwing + hitting. Soft Hands - Great use of soft hands and is able to catch the ball cleanly without bobbling or dropping it. Ability to absorb the impact of the ball without it bouncing out of the glove. Ball Reading Ability - Great job at reading the trajectory and speed of the ball as it is hit can get into position to make the play more effectively. This requires good anticipation skills and quick reactions. Fielding - Quickly react to balls hit back to them and make accurate throws to first base or other fielders. Arm Strength - Great speed overall, in particular with footwork to get into position. Will be an important asset going forward. Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. Competitiveness - Showed a strong desire to win and seems to enjoy the competition. Keep working hard! Coachability - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process. Coach's Comments Adam has a tall wirey build. His overall actions are clean. Arm works well with future arm strength. He has the ability to be a two way guy at the college level. His bat path stays on plane through contact. Bat speed and overall strength will improve with physical maturity and time. Strength - Continue building physical strength Skills - Continue working on feetwork and overall skill sets Mental - Continue training and playing which will create a confidence needed to compete at a higher level.

06/04/2023 - National Showcase - Thousand Oaks, CA Adam is a tall, strong OF/LHP who is a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his foot quickness (6.77 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities through a tall setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, this lefty has a 3-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 75-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. Slider resembles breaking ball. Adam has a very high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
