I started playing baseball at five, played little league for six years, where I was also on the all star team. I have been playing travel ball for 5 years, being on teams such as United, Arsenal, and now Blackdogs based in Chino Hills, CA . I attend school at Ruben S. Ayala H. S. and have been playing on the baseball team for the past three years, now entering my 4th. One of my best memories from this program was during my sophomore year, being voted Team Captain of the JV team. Being voted for was an honor and a good experience for leadership.
I am 6,2, 225 lbs, bat and throw right handed. Defensively, I am a competitive and skilled first baseman, but I beleive My offense is where I shine. I’ve put in a lot of time dedicated to solely building a swing with good mechanics. A key stat is a peak exit velocity of 94 mph off the bat. I understand the importance of building strength and working on speed, so I work on those daily; Along with hitting and fielding practices.
Although most of my time is spent bettering my craft, I have still been able to maintain a 3.76 w/ honors and AP classes. I have been a member of the California of the california scholarship foundation(CSF) since sophomore year and will be graduating graduating with an extra cord. I have been awarded scholar athlete every year and I am currently on track for this year. I am in AP and Honors classes, this semester which enable me to be eligible for UC’s, California States and Private colleges.
I know I have a bright future ahead and that with hard work, dedication, positive attitude, and learning from coaches I will continue to grow as a competitive college athlete.
