Family, Baseball, Academics. The 3 things that are most important to me. Juggling these throughout my High School years has not been easy, but if something was easy, anyone could do it.
I have received many accolades in the past years, but I am just as proud of my admission to the National Honor Society as my baseball accomplishments. Most recently, I was recognized as All-District Catcher as well as All-County, All-American Catcher for Palm Beach County.
My biggest passion in life, clearly is baseball. What I love most about baseball is that it teaches you how to deal with life. It’s not an easy game to play (well) and is filled with failure. Learning to deal with failure and bouncing back to success gives me an incredible rush of accomplishment and joy. I remember a few years ago, I was going thru a rough time at the plate. Every day, I’d drag my dad to the cages to figure out what I was doing wrong and making the adjustment. In the next game, I had a few hits and was back on track. Hard work pays off. This is not unlike my Academics, where I have challenged myself in taking several College courses already, put in the study time, and have received top grades.
It is my desire to play baseball at the Collegiate level in a competitive program. Besides the normal hit, run, catch skills, I have numerous other skills that I would bring to any program. Coaches have always commented on my “Baseball Sense” and strong understanding of all facets of the game. I play the game with a passion to win and a love for my teammates and feel that any program would benefit from my participation.
