In the park hrMy name is Adam Zheng, Class of 2026, and I am good at both INF/OF at IMG Academy. I began playing baseball in elementary school and competed for the Shanghai Jing’an District team and the Shanghai city second-tier squad, winning multiple municipal championships at SS/3B. In 2022, I moved to Oklahoma for high school and was promoted from JV to Varsity at Jenks High School, then transferred to IMG known for developing elite athletes to pursue higher-level competition. I am in my third season in IMG. In 2025, I represented team China in the U-18 Baseball World Cup, playing 3B/CF/RF and finishing the 11th in the world.
I’m an aggressive but disciplined hitter with quick bat speed(current batting average of .630) and strong pitch recognition, using scouting notes to adjust timing and approach. I communicate positioning and handle multiple roles (3B/SS/CF/RF) to maintain high tempo and efficiency. I prepare with opponent pitcher reports such as release points, sequences, pickoffs and translate that into swing decisions and baserunning reads. I am both focused and fun, helping to lift team morale during training and games, and strengthening the bond between teammates. I firmly believe that only by building strong team chemistry can we develop the trust needed to rely on one another in critical moments.
I’m seeking a college that challenges me academically and athletically. I bring reliable defense and quality at-bats, and I’m most effective under coaches who emphasize preparation, adaptation, and a team-first leadership to baseball. Academically, I’m interested in sports management, and my unweighted GPA is 3.31. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to make a positive impact on all my peers, in my community, and make my parents proud.
