Baseball has taught me a lot about myself, and my life. I have learned to be more confident and outgoing because of teammates and coaches. I have learned about responsibility and holding myself accountable. One of the things that I now apply almost every day, is that hard work determines how successful you are. Baseball have given me the opportunity to travel to places that I otherwise probably would not have. Overall, I think the most impactful thing sports has given me is my competitiveness. It does not matter what I am doing, I want to be the best at it. I want to play baseball at the college level where I can be with teamates and coaches that want to win.
I care a lot about my grades and my test scores. Part of the reason why I pursue excellence in academics comes from my hyper-competitive mindset learned from baseball. I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and I take great pride in my work. I take every opportunity I can to learn and grow. My mom was a high school science teacher, and my dad was a college engineering professor, so learning from my parents has also been an important part of my education. My educational goals are to maintain my 4.0 average and get accepted to a college with high academic standards and a great baseball program.
